MORNING CLASS 9am-12pm:
INTRODUCTION TO FOOD FORESTS
Instructor: Heiko Koester
We will review:
- What is a food forest?
- Food forests in suburban backyards
- Food forests in public parks
- The best plants for a Eugene food forest
- The class will include a visit to 2 local neighborhood food forests.
AFTERNOON CLASS. 1-4pm:
Hands on design on Eugene’s Westbank Food Forest

All are welcome.
However, folks new to this process should do some advance reading to prepare. Please contact Heiko ( firstname.lastname@example.org
) if you are considering attending.
$30-60 (sliding scale) per class (morning or afternoon)
$50-100 (sliding scale) per full day (morning + afternoon)
$80-160 (sliding scale) for all 3 morning classes
$0 if you complete homework prep for afternoon class

About the Instructor (for Classes #1+#3)
Heiko Koester is a Eugene-based permaculture garden designer, consultant, and teacher. Heiko has a fun, engaging teaching style as well as a deep knowledge of plants. His teaching is informed by 25 years of experience creating lush gardens filled with edible, medicinal, and native plants.
