Permaculture
Passport Program
Southern Willamette Valley
August
6 - 26, 2012
The Permaculture Passport Program is a new course offering that goes
beyond a PDC at a single institution, as is the norm. It is a
collaborative regional permaculture sample program lasting three weeks,
during which a student experiences many different sites and people
implementing permaculture principles in different ways.
It will consist
of one week at Lost
Valley
Educational Center, then one week at Dharmalaya,
and the final week at Aprovecho.
All three sites are in
the Southern Willamette Valley, located in or near Eugene, Oregon.
There will
also be day trips from each of these hub sites to
other nearby projects of note. There will be significant permaculture
instruction and hands-on activities based around the strong suits of
each host site.

The economic crisis that now grips the world calls upon us to take a
fresh look at our basic economic assumptions and approaches to
development. This one-day
seminar introduces a new vision of economic development and provides
participants with an empowering set of practical tools they can use to
catalyze grassroots initiatives in their neighborhood, community, or
region.
Organizing a discussion group in your community is a great way to learn
about and introduce others to the Progressive Utilization Theory
(PROUT), and to assess its potential as an alternative to the dominant
system of
global
capitalism.
We can help you get started and provide ongoing support - and even
participate with your group on occasion via Skype or telephone.
